Their appears to be a major flaw in the movie JOHN CARPENTERS " THE THING.
AT the beginning of the movie " yes" the movie" when the two norwegians land their helicopter in the american camp " two norwegians come out of the helicopter immediately.
The one on the left side of the tv screen then immediately starts chasing the dog.
Far enough that's hes clearly not going back to the chopper.

But the other guy on the right side of the screen clearly stays near the helicopter.
THEN THE GUY NEAR THE HELICOPTER GRABS A BOMB TO TOSS AT THE DOG.
THAT MOVE" IN ITSELF" IS SORT OF FLAWED " due unto the fact his partner as well as members of the american camp are in front of him chasing the dog.
